Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies DocuVault uses, and the choices you have.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work; others remember your choices.
2. Cookies we use
- dv_session
- Purpose: Keeps you signed in. It cannot be read by scripts on the page and is only sent over secure connections.
- Lasts: 30 days
- Type: Strictly necessary
- locale
- Purpose: Remembers whether you use the site in Arabic or English
- Lasts: 1 year
- Type: Preference
- dv_household
- Purpose: Remembers which household you last opened
- Lasts: 1 year
- Type: Preference
We also keep two small items in your browser’s local storage: the household you last opened, and whether you skipped the welcome setup. They stay until you clear your browser data.
3. Third parties
We do not use advertising, analytics or other tracking cookies. When you pay for a plan, you complete the payment on Stripe’s checkout page, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud, under Stripe’s cookie policy.
4. Your choices
Because we only use cookies that are needed to run the site and remember your settings, we do not ask for consent. If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we will update this policy, ask for your permission first, and let you change your choice at any time.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
