Refund Policy
How billing, cancellation and refunds work for DocuVault plans.
Last updated:
1. How billing works
- The Free plan is free and never charged.
- Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, and are processed securely by Stripe. The price, in US dollars, and any tax are shown before you pay. Discounts and promotion codes apply only as described before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. This is shown before you pay, and you can see your renewal date on the Plan & billing page and in Settings at any time.
2. Cancelling
A household’s owner can cancel at any time from Plan & billing in the app, by downgrading. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. After that the household moves to the Free plan, or is locked if its owner already has a household on Free or it holds more than Free allows, as our Terms of Service explain. The app tells you which before you confirm.
Deleting a household cancels its subscription straight away. You can still ask for a refund under the rules below.
3. When we give refunds
- First purchase of a paid plan
- Refund: Full refund if you ask within 14 days of the payment
- Yearly plan renewal
- Refund: Full refund if you ask within 14 days of the renewal payment
- Monthly plan renewal
- Refund: No refund for the current month, unless the law requires one; cancel to stop future payments
- Charged in error, or charged twice
- Refund: Full refund of the incorrect amount, whenever you tell us
- A serious fault on our side stopped you using the service
- Refund: A fair partial or full refund, in addition to any other remedy the law gives you
- We stop the service or significantly reduce a paid plan, or you close your account because you do not accept updated terms
- Refund: Refund of the unused part of the period you paid for
- You hand a paid household to another member
- Refund: The unused part of the period you paid for, refunded to you automatically once the new owner pays
- Unused time in other cases, after the 14-day window
- Refund: No partial refunds, unless the law requires them
Refunds are for the amount you actually paid, after any discount or promotion code.
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, the law gives you 14 days from your first purchase to cancel. When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service straight away. The law would then allow us to keep an amount for the days you used, but we give you a full refund instead. Our 14-day refunds also cover shorter statutory cancellation periods that apply in some other countries. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the law.
4. Changing plans
When you move to a higher plan, it applies straight away and Stripe charges only the prorated difference for the rest of the period. When you move to a lower plan, the unused value is credited to your next invoice rather than paid back. You can move to a lower plan only when the household fits within its limits.
5. How to ask for a refund
Email support@oneindustry.ai from the address on your account, and tell us which household the payment was for. We reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank, as we can usually fix it faster. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge.
